Our Heritage
The Foursquare Church , officially the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, was founded in Los Angeles, California by Aimee Semple McPherson in 1923. Amidst the revival days of the early 1900's this fellowship of believers was born, determined to proclaim the solid scriptural core of Pentecostal renewal, avoiding extremes of fanaticism on one hand and materialism on the other.
We have no desire to compete or compare. We rejoice for every body of believers who lifts the blood-stained banner of Jesus Christ. The Foursquare Church is a member of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) and as a Pentecostal Church is affiliated with the Pentecostal Fellowship of North America (PFNA).
